Hack: how we moved Pathao docs off public HackMD and behind our firewallIn 2023, Pathao engineers wrote internal docs and API specs on HackMD, a public SaaS. A self-hosted CodiMD with Google login, which we called Hack, moved all of it inside the company firewall without changing how anyone worked.Pathao Tickets: replacing Zendesk with a patched open source helpdeskZendesk cost Pathao about $1,000 a month, and adding chat and automations would have cost far more. We patched an open source helpdesk instead and got ticketing, live chat and tag-based automations for around $300 a month.PathaoTalk: how we moved a whole company off Workplace Chat in a monthIn 2023, Workplace Chat had no markdown, no code snippets and no integrations, and it cost thousands of dollars a month. A self-hosted Mattermost replaced it across Pathao in about a month and still saves around $10K every month.
