WordPress and WooCommerce developer · remote from Dhaka · 10+ years
Official plugin. Sends WooCommerce orders to Pathao courier and syncs delivery status back. Webhooks, with polling as backup when a webhook is missed.
Drag-and-drop landing page builder. I worked on the React and Flux editor and the PHP block hooks.
Stops Facebook's crawler from overloading WordPress sites. Settings page, logs, Retry-After headers.
A theme (BEM, SCSS, Gulp, no jQuery) and a plugin (WooCommerce checkout, Gravity Forms, 11 tests) that show how I lay out code.
Dhaka is UTC+6 all year, with no daylight saving. These are the hours I plan to be online with your team. The table is worked out for today's date, so your daylight saving is already counted.

Your browser says you are in your time zone. The call link shows my free slots in your own time.
The usual worry with a remote hire is going quiet. Here is what I do so that doesn't happen.
What I finished, what's next, and anything I'm stuck on. Your team reads it when they start, so nobody waits for a meeting to know where things are.
During the overlap I'm on Slack, or whatever you use, and I reply like an office colleague would.
If a ticket is unclear I ask before I build, in writing, with the options I see. One good question saves a day of rework across time zones.
Each PR says what changed, why, and how to test it, with screenshots for anything visual. Reviewers don't need a call to follow it.
Zoom or Google Meet for planning, demos and anything tricky. I'm used to client calls.
I share Bangladesh public holidays and any leave in advance, so they go on your plan instead of surprising you.
Outside overlap hours, I reply to messages within one working day, usually by your next morning.
A daily update looks like this:
Done today - Checkout: delivery date field saves to the order and shows in the admin email - Fixed the Gravity Forms CRM sync failing on names with apostrophes Next - Shipping rates for remote postcodes (waiting on the price list) Question - For postcodes not in the list, should checkout block the order or use the flat rate?
Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, WhatsApp, GitHub, Jira and Asana. Happy to use your setup.

Yes. My latest role was remote for a UK company, working with their team and clients in English over Slack, calls and written updates.
For Sydney, the UK and Europe there's a full overlap block every day. Outside it I work on tasks that don't need anyone, so your morning starts with finished work and an update, not a blocker.
Yes, for things like a launch or a client call, with some notice.
I use English every day at work: writing, client calls and code reviews. Book a call and judge for yourself.

I've been in software for 10+ years, most of it close to WordPress and e-commerce. I like plugins that do one job well and don't break other plugins.
I talk to clients directly, plan features with them and give honest estimates. I'm looking for a remote senior WordPress role with an agency or product team.
